MEET YOUR TEACHER
The Ahimsa Yogini
I have been practicing yoga since 2014 and teaching since 2019, and my love for this practice has only deepened with time. Now based in the Blue Mountains, Australia, I feel incredibly grateful to be part of a supportive teaching community and to have cultivated a dedicated group of students.
I currently teach at Flow State in Lawson, Happy Buddha in Wentworth Falls, and Waratah Holistic Health in Katoomba.
Since completing my first 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2019, I have remained a committed student, continuously expanding my knowledge and refining my approach. My further studies include:
150-hour Foundations of Yoga Therapy
150-hour Therapeutics and Professional Practices
150-hour Yoga Physiology and Vital Systems
150-hour Yoga Anatomy and Musculoskeletal Systems
Yoga Therapy in Mental Health Settings
Level 1 Zenthai Shiatsu Training
50-hour Aerial Yoga
Beyond formal training, I have spent countless hours learning from peers in group classes and deepening my understanding through personal study.
My teaching is rooted in accessibility, mindfulness, and the wisdom of the body. I believe yoga is a tool for longevity, resilience, and inner sanctuary—a steady anchor in an ever-changing world. My intention is to provide students with the knowledge and resources to cultivate a practice that supports them for life.
I look forward to welcoming you onto the mat soon.
Namaste, Sammie
